Perry High School is excited to begin testing a new digital hall pass system, GoGuardian Hall Pass. This is a beta program we’ll be piloting over the next several weeks to see if we’d like to fully adopt it in late January.
Why We’re Trying This
We’re always looking for ways to improve school safety and accountability. GoGuardian Hall Pass helps us:
- Monitor and regulate how many students are in the hallways at any given time.
- Support student safety and supervision throughout the building.
- Minimize lost class time and keep students engaged in learning.
How It Works
- Students log into GoGuardian- which is a program already being used at PHS to help monitor safe and appropriate technology usage.
- Each student will have five passes per day.
- Each pass is set to five minutes (with a little built-in flexibility).
- Pass limits can be adjusted for students with special needs or unique circumstances.
- Students will generate their own passes using their Chromebooks, so it’s more important than ever that devices come to school fully charged each day.
What’s Next
We introduced GoGuardian Hall Pass today during Connections and students watched a short video explaining how it works.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. McCormick or Mr. Snowgren.
Thank you for your continued support as we test this new system that works to keep our students safe, accountable, and ready to learn.
